VIZE Guide: Testing (AP Exams)

AP scores are not a major part of the application process, but self-reporting a large number of good scores can indeed help your chances, especially at top programs. In general, all applicants to any program should self-report 4s and 5s on any tests, and 3s on tests unrelated to their prospective major. 1s and 2s should not be reported in nearly any circumstance.

Prospective STEM majors aiming at top programs should be sure to take AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics (preferably C) if these courses are offered at their high school. If not, supplementing with a summer introductory course in these areas at a local community college is another wonderful option.
